FameEX Hot Topics | Robert Kiyosaki Acquired 60 Bitcoins at $6K, Now Buys BTC Monthly

Robert Kiyosaki, the renowned author of “Rich Dad Poor Dad,” has affirmed his continued dedication to investing in Bitcoin. He revealed that he initially purchased 60 bitcoins at $6,000 each and has consistently bought more every month. Kiyosaki considers bitcoin to be “rules-based money,” which he believes enhances wealth, in stark contrast to government fiat money, which he describes as “debt-based” and diminishing in value.

Kiyosaki co-authored the 1997 bestseller “Rich Dad Poor Dad” with Sharon Lechter, a book that has remained on the New York Times Best Seller List for over six years and sold more than 32 million copies in 51 languages across 109 countries. Recently, he discussed the concept of the “Banana Zone” on the social media platform X, a term coined by former Goldman Sachs executive Raoul Pal. This term describes a phase where bitcoin’s value dramatically increases, prompting reactions like “I should have bought some” or “I should have bought more.”

Kiyosaki places significant trust in Pal’s insights due to his professional background at Goldman Sachs and a personal recommendation years ago to invest in bitcoin. “Because of his encouragement, I bought 30 bitcoin at $6,000. Today those same bitcoin are priced at around $60,000 ... and I have continued to buy bitcoin ... more every month,” Kiyosaki shared.

He elaborated on his views, explaining: “Bitcoin is ‘rules-based money.’ Government’s fake fiat money is ‘debt-based’ money.” Kiyosaki emphasized that “rules-based money” helps accumulate wealth, whereas “debt-based” fiat money depletes it. He encouraged people to “hang on tight as bitcoin lifts off into the ‘Banana Zone.’”

Kiyosaki's dedication to bitcoin stems from his belief in its stability and rules-based nature, which contrasts sharply with the volatility and perceived unreliability of government-issued fiat currencies. His regular investments in bitcoin underscore his confidence in its long-term potential to increase wealth, aligning with his broader financial philosophy of seeking stable and reliable investments. As bitcoin continues to gain traction and recognition, Kiyosaki’s advocacy for it highlights its potential as a significant player in the future of finance.

Through his continuous investments and public endorsements, Kiyosaki aims to educate and inspire others about the benefits of bitcoin, positioning it as a key component in wealth-building strategies and financial stability.
