A survey of 32 cryptocurrency experts on the Finder panel predicts significant growth for ether prices, with average forecasts of $5,368 by the end of 2024, $7,359 by the end of 2025, and $23,549 by 2030. These projections highlight the anticipated impact of institutional factors such as Ethereum exchange-traded funds (ETFs).
Finder, a leading financial comparison website, surveyed 32 experts in July to predict ether (ETH) prices through 2030. The results showed varied forecasts, with most respondents expecting significant price growth driven by institutional factors like the introduction of Ethereum exchange-traded funds (ETFs). According to Finder, the panel believes ether (ETH) will be worth $5,368 by the end of 2024, rising to $7,359 by the end of 2025 and then $23,549 by 2030.
These estimates are slightly less optimistic than those in April. Notably, Josh Fraser, co-founder of Origin Protocol, predicts ETH will hit $13,500 by year-end, attributing this rise to the incoming ETH ETF’s impact. Similarly, Julian Hosp, CEO of Cake Group, foresees ETH reaching $10,000, driven by the ETF launch. Meanwhile, Pedro Febrero from Realfevr expects ETH to surge to $20,000 due to its extensive use and potential institutional investments. Conversely, John Hawkins from the University of Canberra offers a bearish perspective, predicting ETH to drop to $2,700, citing the speculative nature of cryptocurrencies.
Regarding how high or low Ethereum will go in 2024, Finder detailed: “Our panelists predict that ETH’s average peak price in 2024 will be $6,050, with some predicting it will climb as high as $20,000. The average lowest price our panelists predict ETH will hit in 2024 is $2,669, with some predicting it will fall as low as $1,500.”
The experts were also asked whether it is now the time to buy, hold, or sell ether. Finder revealed that the vast majority of the panel (64%) say it’s time to buy, with just under a third (29%) saying to hold and only 7% recommending to sell.
