The ETH Kipu Foundation, committed to promoting the Ethereum ecosystem in Latin America, has joined forces with the Ministry of Education of Buenos Aires to integrate Ethereum and blockchain technology into high school curricula. This partnership signifies a major advancement in Argentina's blockchain education, establishing the country as a regional leader in smart contract-enabled blockchain instruction.

Through this initiative, starting on August 27, students in Buenos Aires will have the chance to engage in professional internships centered on blockchain projects. These internships are designed to equip students with practical experience in the fast-evolving tech economy. Additionally, the collaboration includes the creation of an online Solidity course, the programming language used for developing Ethereum applications. This course aims to train 500 students aged 18 and older, providing them with the skills needed to join the Ethereum development community and develop applications that address real-world business needs within the local economy.

To ensure the success of this initiative, the ETH Kipu Foundation has also launched a “hybrid training” program to educate 30 teachers on Ethereum and blockchain technology. This training program is critical for preparing educators to effectively teach these complex subjects. However, there is currently no information available regarding the potential expansion of this program to other cities or provinces across Argentina.
