Actor in Big Tech Google is fighting a pending class-action complaint that alleges that by using data harvesting to train its artificially intelligent models, it is infringing on the intellectual property and confidentiality privileges of millions of people who use the internet.

Google submitted the request on October 17 in a California District Court, arguing that it is important for it to develop its AI chatbots like Bard using open data. This is just one of several legal actions that have been taken over tech behemoths that are creating and educating AI systems. On September 20, Meta disputed accusations that their AI had violated third-party rights while being trained.
