Once Immutable, a Web3 gaming company, launches its own zero-knowledge proof-based (ZK-proofs) scalable infrastructure around the year 2024, players won't have to pay gas fees at all. With the help of Immutable zkEVM, powered by blockchain, game creators can now eliminate transaction expenses from end users, thus giving players a frictionless welcoming feel.

Blockchain-based Web3 games usually charge players gas fees to compensate system validators for executing deals.
