Investment manager Larry Lepard has sounded the alarm that the U.S. dollar is at risk of losing most of its value within the next five to ten years. In an interview with Kitco News, Lepard warned that the dollar will either be restructured or will have lost most of its value within a decade. He noted that his prediction is based on history and patterns observed in other countries that have gone through currency debasement.

Finally, Lepard noted that politicians often change the rules to suit themselves and that those in control of the fiat currency cannot be trusted. He stresses that everything they do is crafted to keep themselves in power and to keep the system running, which puts money in their pocket. However, he believes that more and more people are waking up each time those in power change the rules and are finding alternatives to the U.S. dollar.
