A recent study from NFT Evening reveals that Bitcoin’s price surge past $100,000 has generated significant wealth, creating 14,211 new millionaires and four new billionaires. According to the report, Bitcoin (BTC) investors have become millionaires 22 times faster than stock investors, highlighting the cryptocurrency’s remarkable wealth-building potential.

The study illustrates this point by comparing the performance of a $4,000 investment in Bitcoin versus traditional stocks made in 2010. After 3,775 days, or 10.3 years, Bitcoin investors reached their first $1 million milestone. In contrast, those who invested in blue-chip stocks saw their portfolios grow to just $45,000 during the same period.

The research also found that those who invested $30,500 in Bitcoin in early 2011 became billionaires within 4,645 days, or about 12.7 years. This resulted in an extraordinary return of 32,787 times their original investment. On the other hand, investors who allocated the same amount to blue-chip stocks saw their portfolio grow to $950,000 in the same time frame, meaning Bitcoin investors reached the billion-dollar mark while stock investors were still working toward their first million.

Despite its wealth-generation capabilities, Bitcoin is often seen as a volatile asset. The report notes the cryptocurrency's fluctuating performance over the past three years, including a peak of just under $69,000 in November 2021, followed by a plunge to below $17,000 a year later. However, Bitcoin has been on an upward trajectory since late 2022, reaching a new all-time high of $108,364 on December 17.

In comparison to major U.S. stocks, Bitcoin outperformed by a wide margin between 2010 and 2020. The study found that Bitcoin’s growth during this period was 76,378 times greater than the returns from Apple. Furthermore, when compared to other tech giants, Bitcoin delivered 6,062 times the returns of Nvidia, 148,978 times the returns of Microsoft, 66,330 times the returns of Amazon, and 9,103 times the returns of Tesla. This further underscores the extraordinary wealth creation potential of Bitcoin compared to traditional investments.
